Educate

ed·u·cate  verb

  1. Give intellectual, moral, and social instruction to someone, especially a child.
  2. To teach, train, or inform someone.

The word educate comes from the Latin word educare meaning to “bring up, rear.”  In the 1500’s, Shakespeare borrowed it to mean “schooling.”  Today, the term has a much broader definition, allowing opportunities in all walks of life to gain knowledge and be educated.

The LCWRC aspires to educate all ages on the Conservative Values the Republican Party was founded on in 1854 and continues to practice in our daily lives.  On this page, you will find links to history about the Republican Party and how women have played integral roles in the conservative movement, even prior to the 19th Amendment being ratified. We will feature links to books and projects that promote Conservative ideals.  There will also be books and activities for children so we may “bring up and rear” them with the same values we cherish. Enjoy!
